Adjustment

Standard

Hello again Minions!

So, today I got the Brace adjusted again. I grew taller, and the guy had to lower the bottom part of it. Now it feels better.

I’m sorry I don’t post anything on here, but that’s just because I don’t have anything to say about the brace. 😛

New Laptop

Standard

Hello Minions,

I just got my new laptop today! Its really awesome. I’m so happy! (as I am sure you can tell) I named it Vladimir. XD

Now that I have my own computer, I will be able to write more, and it has a webcam, so I can make videos to post on YouTube. That’s pretty much all I have to say.

            Love,

                    Rhiannon

New Therapist

Standard

Hi!

I saw my new therapist, Nicole, for the first time today. She’s really nice, and she understands what I’m trying to say. She also has groups for teen girls on Thursdays, so I will be going to those. I think seeing Nicole will be good for me, because I have anger issues.

I get mad at random things, and I don’t know why. I hate it! So I think I might be able to sort that out by seeing Nicole.

                Love,

                         Rhiannon

Update on Life

Standard

Hello lovelies!

I’m really sorry that I haven’t posted on here in forever! I totally forgot I had this blog. I’m going to try to post things every day, or at least every week. I’m also going to try to make more videos to put on YouTube, so if you don’t know my channel, here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/user/BlackDiamondWolf. Have fun! If you people have any idea of things I can do and make videos of, please tell me! I like singing, so if you tell me a favorite song, I will see if I can sing it. Please make sure it has no cussing, and sexual references. I’m afraid that’s not my type of song. Plus I’m only 13, and the grownups wouldn’t let me sing that kind of song. ^_^

                    Love,

                            Rhiannon

Another Appointment

Standard

About a week ago, I had another appointment with Dr. Puno, since he hadn’t seen me since I got the brace. They took an X-ray picture, and it showed that before I got the brace, my spine was like an S curve, now that I have the brace, my spine is almost completely straight. Also, he said that the MRI had showed that I only have my left kidney, so I have to see someone about that, to make sure it won’t cause problems. Otter, my mom, says that it probably won’t cause problems, and I just won’t be able to play certain sports, which isn’t a problem, because I don’t like sports. I also have to see a pediatric neurologist, because the MRI also showed that I have mild Chiari Malformation, which is were part of my brain goes a little to far down my spine. The good thing about these appointments is that they are in Louisville, so me and Otter get to go to the Jefferson Mall, and that is the only fun thing about the appointments.

Warning!

Standard

The brace will scratch wood, walls, and I even accidentally ripped a hole in a sheet! So you should be careful while wearing it, that you make sure not to scratch something. Also, the brace is going to be very uncomfortable for a while, but I got used to it in about a week. It is still kinda hard to sleep in, and to run around and things like that. It is not fun in summer, because it makes you hot with the extra layer. If you are ticklish, then it makes a good tickle guard!

Getting my Brace

Standard

I got my brace yesterday. Here are pictures. ImageImage

It took 3 hours to get it fitted right. It had to get a lot cut off, and then he had to move the neck ring down. I have to wear it for 4 hours, then take it off for a 1 hour break. Tomorrow, I wear it for 6 hours, then 1 hour break. We just keep adding 2 hours to it, then eventually I have to wear it for 23 hours a day. It is uncomfortable to sleep in, so I had to use a lot of pillows, but I managed it. Some people can’t sleep in it at all, and some can sleep just fine. I do have to wear it for 2-3 years, but I will get used to it. I will probably have more to say soon! 🙂
